The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation to Develop M&E and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) to support the National Adaptation Plan (NAP). UN Environment is supporting Government of Lao PDR to build the capacity of the country to advance the NAP process, with financial support from GEF. One of the outcomes is "Capacity to monitor and review the NAP process in Lao PDR strengthened". Under this outcome, the project is developing M&E and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) processes and guidance. The main objective is to support the Laos National Adaptation Plan (NAP) through development of M&E and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) processes, guidance and advice on the collection, management and dissemination of climate-related data in a consultative and transparent manner according to the Modalities, Guidelines and Procedures (MPG) established by the implementation of the Paris Agreement. It is also designed to support Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) requirements of the NAP. Some of the expected outputs are: 1. An Inception report setting out the methodology and work plan. 2. A draft report on the National Monitoring Framework for Adaptation with a presentation on the National Monitoring Framework for Adaptation 3. A final report on the National Monitoring Framework for Adaptation 4. Guidelines, training material for the application of the National Monitoring Framework for Adaptation 5. Final NAP monitoring framework for adaptation to communicate to the UNFCCC.
