Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: This is part of broader project on the drivers of labour income inequality on the African continent. Four consultants will analyse from 2 to 4 countries each one. Each will also follow a standardized methodology so the results can be compared fully across countries. Each consultant will describe the evolution of inequality, both using indices and full-distribution analyses as well as the factors driving the changes. These factors will include demographic changes, structural changes as well as labour market institutions such as the minimum wage. There will be several online meetings of the whole team to arrive at a complete methodology. The consultant will then follow this methodology and produce results for the countries he or she has been assigned. Finally, the consultant will write up these results in a concise, complete and well-written report for each country, based upon knowledge of each country’s labour market. Please note that if travel is required for this assignment, the necessary travel costs will be covered by the ILO. If you are interested, please express interest and follow the instructions attached to consult the detailed terms of reference and other relevant information in the ILO e-sourcing platform. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline. Thank you.
