RFP-2024-51 Gender Consultancy for UNAIDS Gender Team The consultancy is full-time, January - December 2025 for a minimum of 20 days per month. The provider shall be a company, partnership, consortium or and individual operating in the field of public health, gender equality and rights in developing contexts, including women’s, girl’s and gender-diverse’s health and rights, HIV, with proven expertise in policy and advocacy, programming, writing, events organisation and experience in coordination functions in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment. The ideal candidate(s) will be based in Geneva or working in the same time zone. Travel may be required for specific events and meetings and workshops. Under the guidance of the gender team lead, as well as collaboration with other staff of the Gender Team and other offices and departments, the consultant or consultancy firm is expected to provide lead support to the following key tasks and deliverables: • Provide support on UNAIDS’ contributions to the gender dimensions of the Global Fund’s policies and processes. This includes (but not limited to) develop and review of knowledge products from the UNAIDS-Global Fund MOU and partnership; review of Global Fund’s funding application processes; support design of interventions and organizations of workshops and webinars to integrate and implement gender transformative approaches on GF-funded HIV programming at the national level, as well as recommendations of gender assessments, analysis and studies in countries; • Support the gender team’s revision of the UNAIDS Gender Assessment Tool and its piloting in selected countries, review of reports from Gender Assessment of the National HIV Response, as required. • Provide support for policy and normative ongoing and new activities, such as the review of UNAIDS Gender Equality Marker (GEM) for better adaptation to UNAIDS work, and development of a training module based on the review outcomes aligned with the UN-SWAP 3.0 and any changes in the UN GEM; support to the development of the 2026-2030 Global AIDS Strategy and related 2030 targets through an intersectional gender lens and based on a community engagement and human rights approach; support to deliver and report on SG’s Gender Equality Acceleration Plan and the UN-SWAP 3.0 development; etc. For details on the activities and expected outcomes please refer to the attached RFP document.
