1. Assignment Under the overall authority of the UNESCO Regional Director for Southern Africa and the direct supervision of the Head of the Culture Unit, the contractor shall undertake the following tasks: a)Pre-Training: •Thoroughly review all training materials, concept notes, and related documents to ensure a clear understanding of the objectives. •Collaborate closely with the training coordination team to adapt session methodologies that cater to the diverse needs of participant groups. •Develop and propose all necessary training materials to ensure a robust and engaging learning experience. b)During the training: •Deliver facilitation for designated sessions in line with the programme schedule (e.g., sessions on global emergency architecture, UNESCO conventions, risk mapping, simulation exercises, and action plan development). •Moderate group discussions and breakout sessions to foster inclusive participation and to capture actionable insights. •Guide participants through simulation exercises and PDNA sessions, ensuring effective learning and application of practical skills. c)Post Training •Collect and Analyze participant feedback and session evaluations to assess training effectiveness. •Provide post-training support to member states, assisting in the development of country-specific heritage, CCA, and DRR action plans. •Prepare a comprehensive final consultancy report that summarizes all activities, key insights, and recommendations for future training initiatives.
