Country:   Viet Nam Description of the Assignment:  National Expert to develop policy brief on solid waste management in Viet Nam and develop technical guidelines on post-consumer resin (PCR) content in plastic packaging products, taxonomy system for plastic scraps Period of assignment/services (if applicable):  May 2025 - March 2026UNDP is looking for a national expert to provide updates on solid waste management strategy, review the set of guidelines on eco-design and develop a taxonomy system for plastic scraps in Viet Nam: Develop a high-level policy brief providing updates on solid waste management strategy in Viet Nam Peer review for a manual on eco-design for business and policy makers to provide concepts, regulations, case studies and initial recommendations and a technical guideline on design for recycling for plastic packaging, which focuses on PET and HDPE bottles Develop outline of a technical standard and validate a phased roadmap to increase PCR content in plastic packaging products  Develop a taxonomy system to classify plastic scraps for recycling in Viet Nam  Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal.
