The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) invites eligible boatbuilders established in Saint Lucia to express their interest in the proposed construction of a Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) fishing vessel, including the development of the associated plug and mould. This Expression of Interest (EOI) is being conducted to assess the level of interest, technical capability, and production capacity of locally established boatbuilders in Saint Lucia, and to confirm the feasibility of the proposed approach prior to initiating a formal procurement process. Interested firms are requested to submit information demonstrating their qualifications, facilities, relevant experience, personnel resources, and capacity to undertake the proposed works. Expressions of Interest must be submitted no later than 07 August 2026 at 23:59 hrs. (AST/GMT-4). Participation in this market assessment does not constitute a solicitation, prequalification, or commitment by FAO to issue a subsequent tender. The information received will be used solely to evaluate market interest, availability, and feasibility, and to support the development of any future procurement strategy related to the assignment. FAO reserves the right to request additional information, conduct site visits, or hold follow-up discussions with interested firms as part of this market engagement process. If you are interested in submitting an Expression of Interest, please ensure that your company has, at a minimum, a UNGM Basic Registration with FAO (www.ungm.org). Instructions on how to access and submit documents through the UNGM portal are attached to this notice under the "DOCUMENTS" tab. Interested firms are requested to follow these instructions when submitting their response. EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IF SUBMITTED THROUGH THE UNGM PORTAL. RESPONSES NOT SUBMITTED THROUGH THE UNGM PORTAL WILL BE INVALIDATED. Many thanks and best regards, FAO PROCUREMENT SERVICE
