1. As part of meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and implementing the 2030 Agenda, ESCAP intends to improve inclusiveness and accessibility in its built environment. ESCAP is looking for a qualified consultant and expert adviser to review, analyse, and make recommendations on our current Accessibility report, developed Accessibility standards and guidelines for future renovation and alteration projects, and carry out project-based Accessibility reviews, based on Universal Design Principals and the UN Disability Inclusion Policy. Likely Deliverables Expected from the Consultant: 2. ESCAP's current Accessibility report is titled "2017 UNESCAP Campus Accessibility Assessment". The Consultant is to review and assess this report against Universal Design Principals, the current as-is environment and the UN Disability Inclusion Policy, and issue recommendations for update. 3. To develop Accessibility standards and guidelines for future renovation and alteration projects. 4. Carry out project-based Accessibility reviews and provide tailored advisories to ensure that the individual upcoming projects comply with the updated Accessibility report, the Universal Design Principals and the UN Disability Inclusion Policy. 5. Remain on-call for projects throughout the contract duration of 5 years. 6. Present findings and project based assessments and recommendations to ESCAP and its stakeholders in report format and in virtual space. 7. Relevant technical and construction drawings, plan, images, illustrations, project schedules, engineering calculations and other information will be available to the Consultant for the assessment work.
