Sale of surplus assets at the UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy

The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) will soon launch a competitive solicitation process for the commercial sale and disposal of various surplus assets located at its premises in Brindisi, Italy. The commercial sale will comprise fourteen (14) lots, including, but not limited to, various Information and Communications Technology items (COMS), Electronic Data Processing (EDP) items, vehicles and container/scrap metal, as follows: • Lot 1: EDP/COMS (Radio, Computer Notebook, Network Surveillance Camera, etc.) (Q.ty 9) • Lot 2: COMS (Video Wall, Microphone, Multi-zone Clock, etc.) (Q.ty 15) • Lot 3: COMS (SAS) (Q.ty 38) • Lot 4: COMS/EDP (Storage Disk Drive, Computer Server, Router, etc. ) (Q.ty 52) • Lot 5: COMS/EDP (Siren System, BLC Gateway, Data Replication Appliance, etc.) (Q.ty 11) • Lot 6: EDP (Desktop Computer) (Q.ty 20) • Lot 7: VEHICLE (including comms equipment) (Q.ty 8) • Lot 8: CONTAINER (Q.ty 1) • Lot 9: CONTAINER (sold as scrap metal) (Q.ty 1) • Lot 10: SCRAP METAL (metal locker, chairs, iron scrap) - (Weight 4,145 kg) • Lot 11: SCRAP METAL (pieces of iron) (Weight 5,045 kg) • Lot 12: SCRAP METAL (cabinet) (Weight 1,872 kg) • Lot 13: COMS (Simultaneous Interpretation Device, Storage Processor) (Q.ty 2) • Lot 14: ARMOURED VEHICLE/SCRAP METAL (Vehicle) (Q.ty 2) Full technical specifications and administrative instructions will be provided in the solicitation document, which will be issued after the closing date of this Expression of Interest (EOI). The solicitation will also include details regarding a scheduled site visit to inspect the items at the UNGSC premises in Brindisi, Italy. Participation in the site visit is optional, and all related costs shall be borne by the bidders. Please note that all assets are offered for sale on an “as-is, where-is” basis, with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. All sales will be considered final. Certain items, due to their sensitive nature, will be subject to disposal by destruction in the presence of UN personnel and will therefore be sold strictly as scrap material.
