Mental health conditions contribute significantly to the burden of disease and disability in Cambodia. While the country has made efforts to improve mental health services as demonstrated by the adoption of the Cambodia Mental Health Strategic Plan (2023-2032), challenges persist in accessibility and availability of mental health services. In line with the WHO Special Initiative for Mental Health, Cambodia seeks to strengthen its mental health system to ensure quality and equitable care for all individuals. Previous assessments in other WHO Special Initiative countries have utilized standardized methodologies to conduct rapid situational analyses. This APW will employ similar methodologies to assess Cambodia’s mental health landscape, identifying gaps and opportunities for policy action and service enhancement.
