WHO is seeking for a qualified, eligible and competent proposer for the Community Engagement for Global Environment Facility (GEF) Supported Islands on South Tarawa, Onotoa, Beru, Banaba and Kiritimati Islands selected communities. The contractor will assist the GEF Project Management Team in implementing the following activities: 1. Prepare and submit a detailed work plan outlining all planned activities, including implementation timelines, roles and responsibilities, and estimated costs. 2. Organize a 3-day community training on climate change and health that includes action planning. The project will provide the training package. 3. Conduct participatory community situational analyses—including Climate Hazard Integrated Vulnerability Assessments, Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) assessments, and community profiling—and map community assets, including financial and human resources, to identify needs and constraints for climate adaptation. The Project will provide the standard assessment templates. 4. Implement community-based programmes: Establish community health committees or welfare groups. Implement vector‑control initiatives in designated communities and facilities (e.g. cleanup campaigns, cleanest village competitions). clean‑up campaigns, environmental sanitation activities, and cleanest village competitions. Implement initiatives related to linked health‑climate early warning systems, nutrition and food security, food safety, and environmental health, including community gardens and awareness activities. 5.
