Country:   Home based United Nations Volunteers is presently seeking an specialist to conduct the review, analysis and recommendation of UN Volunteer categories related entitlements to maintain their coherence.    Description of the Assignment: The consultant will be expected to:• Develop the category entitlement scales based on clear ICSC reference points, including defining expertise differential or similar.• Define the accommodation supplement and calculation methodology.• Develop a clear WBD definition, eligibility and methodology.• Recommend options to create UNV part-time categories and define related benefits and entitlements (including home visit).• Review and recommend on the legality of a Host entity allowance, i.e., to accommodate courtesy payments made by UNV on behalf of UN Volunteers host entities (e.g. telephone bills and ration packs).• Define an emergency lump sum to pay for the compensation for loss of personal effects suffered by UN Volunteers, and its amount.• Recommend options and methodology to pay online Volunteers.• Review and recommend a package for Event Volunteers ensuring cost efficiency and demand.• Review and recommend remote options. Period of assignment/services (if applicable): 31 working days over the period January to March, 2025Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal.
