ProcureProcess - UN Secretariat Others Non Governmental 2025-03-28 to 2025-04-20
A. The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), based in Santiago, Chile, is the agency commissioned to lead this procurement exercise. ECLAC is one of the five regional commissions of the United Nations, established in 1948, with one of its main objectives being the promotion of social development in the region. Its premises are located in Vitacura, Santiago, Chile. B. ECLAC, United Nations, invites companies established in Chile to submit their Expression of Interest to participate in a competitive process for the assembly of eighteen (18) custom-built electrical panels, based on a pre-defined electrical engineering design. The objective is to engage with experienced panel assembly companies capable of certifying that the distribution and installation of components fully comply with the detailed engineering specifications and current Chilean electrical regulations. Companies must hold a valid SEC Class A Installer Certification. This certification must be current and will serve as formal proof of the technical and regulatory compliance of the assembled panels. This project represents a valuable opportunity to collaborate with the United Nations system in a high-impact initiative, ensuring from the outset the quality and regulatory compliance of the equipment to be used in a future technical installation. ECLAC values working with local suppliers who share its commitment to excellence, safety, and the highest technical standards. C. Companies will be allowed to express their intention to participate jointly as a Consortium, Partnership, or Joint Venture. ECLAC must be informed of the intention to participate jointly once companies are invited to the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage. ECLAC reserves the right to accept or reject any such request. D. The Contractor must have a local representative in Chile and must be able to respond to on-site service calls with qualified technicians.
