Background: As UNICEF Supply Division strengthens its assistive technologies emphasis, the area of continence care seems an obvious avenue for further development. Continence issues effect a massive number of people and have significant effect on quality of life, productivity, and even longevity that magnify the global impacts of this malady. People suffering incontinence often do so in silence because of its social stigma. This makes the prevalence of incontinence difficult to accurately catalogue; however conservative estimates are that it effects at least 400 million people globally. Though age variations further complicate epidemiologic descriptions, children are affected at similarly high rates. Purpose: In line with this need, UNICEF and WHO are requesting a Request for Expression of Interest (REoI) to identify relevant suppliers that can supply continence products. This is in preparation for a solicitation exercise with the aim to establish Long Term Arrangements (LTAs) with relevant, qualified suppliers for delivery of continence products and accessories for UNICEF and WHO programmes and partners over the coming years. Procedure for submitting a response to the REoI: Interested suppliers are encouraged to complete the online Response Form found under ‘links’ of the UNGM announcement by 23.59 CET on November 21, 2024.
