SUMMARY SCOPE OF WORK Group Health Insurance Plan (including After-Service Health Insurance) The purpose is to indemnify the insured persons, within the limits of the contract, for the reasonable and customary expenses resulting from medical and dental treatment; or attention necessitated through sickness, accident, maternity, voluntary termination of pregnancy, and for sterilization whether for therapeutic or non-therapeutic reasons. This contract also serves to guarantee the Insured Person an allowance when they are recognised by the Insurers as being in a state of dependence (“Long-term Care Coverage”); and, for former staff members, their spouses, dependent children, or survivors, an optional after-service continuation of previous active-service coverage in the Court’s group health insurance plan. Special conditions In full recognition of, and compliance with, relevant international law, including the privileges and immunities of the International Criminal Court (“ICC”) and its personnel, the bidder represents and warrants that, in case of contract award, the bidder (including any entity that will form part of the contractual arrangement with the ICC) shall not voluntarily comply with any unilateral sanctions programme or other coercive measure imposed by a state with extraterritorial effect. For the avoidance of doubt, where the performance of the services has a direct nexus with the jurisdiction of the state enacting sanctions or taking coercive measures, any compliance therewith shall not qualify as voluntary compliance. Furthermore, any such compliance shall bear no impact in the overall validity and enforcement of the contractual arrangement with the ICC and shall not constitute a legal ground for the suspension or termination of that contractual arrangement.
