The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) intends to procure and deliver redundant satellite data reception station kits to strengthen early warning and operational forecasting capabilities in Guyana, Jamaica, and Suriname. The National Meteorological and Hydrological Services of these countries currently face limitations in accessing real-time satellite data reliably, hampering their ability to anticipate and respond to hazardous weather and climate events. To address these gaps, GEONETCast-Americas (GNC-A) receive stations complemented by internet-based UNIDATA IDD systems will be procured through financial support from the CREWS Accelerated Support Window project, managed by WMO. The Contractor will be responsible for the supply, pre-shipment testing, packaging, and international delivery of complete equipment kits, while installation, configuration, and training will be managed separately by WMO.
