The ILO’s “Global Accelerator Lab Project: Intensifying Actions Against Forced Labour and Child Labour through Innovation” (GALAB) aims to drive sustainable and effective interventions that would accelerate progress on the eradication of forced labour and child labour. To achieve this, GALAB focus on four key cross-cutting markers: innovative solutions, due diligence and transparency in supply chains, strengthening workers’ voice and social protection. GALAB further supports policy changes through the Alliance 8.7 initiative, which is global partnership aimed at accelerating efforts to end forced labour, child labour and human trafficking.  As part of the project activities under Sub-Outcome 3.1.3 (Increased awareness of child labour issues by communities and households vulnerable to the risk of child labour in the State of Sabah), the project will use ILO-IPEC’s Supporting the children’s Rights through Education, the Arts, and Media (SCREAM) to conduct awareness campaign in Sabah. The project completed the translation of the ILO’s SCREAM Education Pack for use in Malaysian context and it is known as SUARAKAN: Hentikan Buruh Kanak-Kanak.
