The overall objective of the EOI is to identify and select financial institutions capable of partnering with UNCDF to implement the Salone Access to Finance Matching grant facility.     a)       UNCDF seeks to engage financial institutions (banks and microfinance institutions) that are capable of1.       Developing agri-financing products suitable to meet needs of agribusinesses in Sierra Leone2.       Scaling/diversifying loan portfolio into agricultural sector and lend at least $500,000 to agricultural sector over the next two years (2026-2027)3.       Disbursing a special facility structured as a blend of loan and grant. The loan will be capitalized by the financial institution while the grant is funded by UNCDF.4.       Monitoring use of funds to ensure that agribusinesses funded utilize the funds for intended purpose      b)       Requirements   UNCDF seeks to work with legally established commercial banks and microfinance institutions in Sierra Leone whose internal policies align with the above objectives.
