The Development Cooperation Support Unit (DCSU) within the Multilateral Partnerships and Development Cooperation (PARTNERSHIPS) Department is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the appraisal process of ILO development cooperation projects. It also provides support to ILO field offices to ensure the highest quality standards in project design. The external collaborator will support DCSU in one or both workstreams (details below). Individual assignments will typically range from one to five working days. The monthly workload is expected to range between two and seven working days. Workstream 1: Project design support Provide technical advice on the theory of change, logical framework, risk assessment, budgeting, and other results-based management (RBM) aspects of project proposals. Issues to be addressed may include the inclusion of persons with disabilities, protection against sexual exploitation and abuse, environmental and social safeguards, protection and integration of marginalized populations, conflict sensitivity, and accountability to end-beneficiaries, etc. Workstream 2: Project appraisal support Conduct quality assurance of development cooperation projects in line with ILO guidelines, checklists, templates and standards.
