. SCOPE OF WORK The development company will be responsible for the following: ● Requirements Gathering and Documentation: o Engage with stakeholders (parents, guardians, clinicians, hospital staff) through workshops and sessions to gather detailed requirements. o Produce a User Requirements Specification (URS) outlining functional and non-functional requirements. o Develop a Software Requirements Specification (SRS) detailing technical requirements, system architecture, and functional specifications. o 6 ● Mobile App Development: o Design and develop the app for iOS and Android using an open-source technology stack (e.g., React Native, PostgreSQL). o The system must be developed and supported by the latest and two (2) previous versions of Android and iOS application stores. o Implement features for accessing care records, submitting feedback, and securely sharing medical data. o Include multilingual support (Sinhala, Tamil, English) and accessibility features for lowliteracy users. ● Upgrading HHIMS software: o Work closely with the LRH Health Informatics team to upgrade the HHIMS-LRH software to the latest PHP stack to ensure seamless integration and data security. o The current HHIMS version is based on PHP 7.0 and CodeIgniter 2 frameworks. Upgrading would involve rewriting of the core components to be compatible with PHP 8.3 or later and CodeIgniter 4.0 or later, with a React based front end and an independent modular architecture. ● Integration and Security: o Ensure secure integration with HHIMS-LRH using open standards (e.g., FHIR/HL7). o Comply with data protection regulations and maintain robust security measures. ● Testing and Quality Assurance: o Conduct comprehensive testing, including usability testing with guardians and staff. o Ensure scalability and replicability across other hospitals. ● Training and Documentation: o Develop training manuals and user guides for hospital staff and guardians in all supported languages. o Provide ongoing documentation, such as release notes and maintenance guides, to support the app’s long-term use. The Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) for Children and Health Information Unit will be the government implementation partners who will be taking the lead in Health Informatics expertise, coordination of stakeholder workshops and user training workshops. The selected institute is expected to have close coordination with the Health Information Unit, Lady Ridgeway Hospital and UNICEF.
