The ILO will support the Government of the Philippines in using ILO baseline methodology based on principles determined in the 305th Governing Body, which seeks to provide comprehensive insights into the basic needs of workers and their families, considering factors such as food, housing, healthcare, and education costs. By applying ILO principles, the study intends to recommend evidence-based policies for minimum wage adjustments. This call aims to estimate the needs of the workers and their families, underpinned by the ILO baseline methodology. The consultant will provide advice to the Government of Philippines, specifically the NWPC on the ILO Living Wage baseline methodology and will produce the deliverables in the expected timeline, sharing the developments with social partners. The outcomes that result in a range of indicators produced would contribute to the ILO’s perspective based on evidence alongside economic factors - to advocate and promote setting adequate wages.
