UNICEF has now issued a : Invitation to Bid in order to select a supplier for the provision of Supply & Delivery of Rugged Android Tablets – Establishment of Long-Term Agreement (LTA). For Nigerian Registered Companies Only 1. Background In support of the National Population Commission (NPC) and its efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) systems, UNICEF—through the Child Protection Section—is assisting NPC with the nationwide digitalization of birth registration processes. The National Population Commission Technical Implementation Unit (TIU), in collaboration with UNICEF, has commenced the rollout of digital birth registration across all states. As part of this initiative, UNICEF Nigeria requires rugged Android tablets to facilitate mobile birth registration, field data capture, biometric-enabled processes where applicable, and real-time data synchronization with the national civil registration platform. The first call-off under this Invitation to Bid (ITB) will consist of 2,946 units, to be delivered DAP to the UNICEF Central Warehouse in Abuja. Additional quantities may be ordered through subsequent call-offs issued under the resulting Long-Term Agreement (LTA). 2. Objective To establish one or more Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) with qualified and eligible Nigerian registered companies for the supply and delivery of rugged Android tablets that meet UNICEF’s technical, quality, and operational requirements for digital birth registration. 3. Scope of Supply The selected supplier(s) shall: • Supply rugged Android tablets in accordance with Annex A – Technical Specifications. • Provide a manufacturer warranty of at least 12 months, along with after sales support within Nigeria. • Deliver all items DAP – UNICEF Warehouse, Abuja (Incoterms 2020). • Provide verifiable compliance certificates for IP68, IP69K, and MIL STD 810H standards. • Ensure all devices are: o Factory sealed o Fully functional o Inclusive of all standard accessories (charger, cable, protective casing) 4. Deliverables • Delivery of 2,946 units within two (2) weeks of purchase order issuance. • Submission of the following documentation : 1. Warranty certificates 2. Compliance certifications (IP68, IP69K, MIL STD 810H) 3. Manufacturer datasheets 4.Devices must pass quality verification and acceptance testing at the UNICEF central warehouse in Abuja. 5. Duration of Assignment The Long-Term Agreement shall remain valid for 24 to 36 months. During this period, UNICEF may issue multiple call-offs subject to: • Programme needs • Funding availability • Supplier performance • Lead times and delivery compliance This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system.
