The purpose of the assignment is to enhance the GEC system infrastructure overall, shifting from manual capturing of data and information to a digitalized 21st century skills-based system. To consolidate data and information from other Department of Basic Education data systems, including SA-SAMS, and develop a centralized platform that serves as the GEC certificate foundation; To develop a digitized assessment to shift from manual capture, including digitalized assessment on the integrated project for Grade 9, Term 3; and To extract 21st century skills inclinations evidence to deliver the holistic credential GEC; a dual-output credential with academic marks and skills/competency signals.
