Below is a summary of the work to be performed: Under the EU-ILO Technical Assistance Facility for the implementation of the Youth Guarantee in the Western Balkans (TAF) project, the ILO is supporting Western Balkan economies in developing, piloting, and fully implementing the Youth Guarantee (YG), in line with policy principles enshrined in the 2020 Council Recommendation, relevant quality frameworks used in the EU, and ILO standards. Within these efforts, the ILO is producing technical reports, studies, guidelines and recommendations to support relevant institutions in the target economies in establishing a functioning and effective YG governance and service delivery mechanism. To ensure the final manuscripts meet the highest editorial and linguistic standards, the ILO seeks an experienced English editor to refine and finalize the relevant document. The objective of the assignment is to ensure linguistic accuracy, clarity, and consistency throughout the text, making it concise, readable, and aligned with ILO editorial and publishing standards. Under the guidance of the Youth Guarantee project team and relevant technical specialists, the editor will review the manuscript for grammar, syntax, punctuation, and style; enhance clarity, flow, and structure; ensure consistency in terminology and tone; verify factual coherence without altering content; edit tables, figures, and annexes for linguistic accuracy; harmonize references and citations following the ILO House Style; and deliver both a version with Track Changes and a final, publication-ready version of the relevant document.
