Specification: Feeding Bowl Feeding bowl capacity Minimum 300 ml +/- 10 ml when filled to the brim’ used to feed food up to 250 ml with 3 different marking levels of 125 ml, 180 ml, 250 ml 20,000 Weight of bowl - 120 gm +/-5% Material - Made of 100% food-grade virgin plastic. Material should comply with PP/HDPE Injection molding Food Grade Virgin Plastic. Heat Resistance -The bowl should be able to sustain temperatures -10 to +70 centigrade Colour "Colour should be non-toxic, child-friendly, gender neutral and inclusive. Inside of the bowl should be preferably white. Pigments or Colorants for use in plastics in contact with food products and drinking water shall conform to EN71 / IS: 9833" Shape "Bowl should be round in shape, open at the top, narrowing towards the bottom, ideal for holding food and liquids. Bowl should have bottom ring projection about 3 mm height for resting on surface so that entire bottom doesn’t touch the resting surface. Outer surface of bowl should have 3-4 equally spaced smooth projected rings for better grip." Surface of the spoon tip should be burr-free and specifically designed to have a dull and smooth shape to protect the baby’s delicate gums and teeth. The spoon should have 3 smooth slots of approximately 2 mm wide and 20 mm long to maintain the medium thick consistency of food. Handle of the spoon should be elliptical in shape for a good hold. The spoon should have elongated hole towards the outer end of handle." The materials must be non-toxic, non-porous, that are safe for contact with food and resistant to scratching. Base of the bowl Embossed or printed – Government of Chhattisgarh and UNICEF Collar printing with Food groups for diversity "Food symbols, coloured, placed over the collar of the bowl fitting the width. The symbols can be divided into three groups demarcated by lines on the collar. Symbols: In one part 1. Banana, potato, maize In second part 2. Carrot, Papaya, pumpkin 3. Cauliflower, legume, Green Leafy Vegetables In third part: 4. Legumes/pulses 5. Egg 6. Fish 7. Milk in a glass" Cleaning "The bowl and spoon should have smooth finish to allow for easy cleaning and to prevent the build-up of bacteria. The bowl should be able to withstand regular use and frequent washing with dishwashing detergent and should maintain all features for a minimum of 24 months." Packaging - "Bowls should be stackable. Spoons should be packed with each bowl. The primary packing will be of bowl and spoon in individual zipper bag along with the user guide. Secondary package will be set of 5 bowls and spoons in stackable manner in a cardboard box. Tertiary packing will be set of secondary packages in a big carton used for transport secured with shock absorbing material to prevent breakage. The Tertiary package should mention batch code and date of manufacturing" This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system.
