DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKProposed Construction/Refurbishment of a UNIPOD Facility at the USETThe structure to be refurbished and extended to achieve the desired goal is a storey building with reinforced concrete frames and blockwork infilled panels with light-weight steel trusses supporting aluzinc roofing sheets and areas of concrete roof slabs.  The ground floor (approx. 329m2) to the existing building is complete, however the staircase and the first floor(approx. 342m2)  is incomplete.  The blockwork, concrete work, plastering, door and windows are substantially completed to the first floor however, ceilings, tiling, painting, plumbing , electrical, waterproofing works, etc, remain incomplete.   The structure shall be fully refurbished and shall include demolitions, spatial re-arrangements, extension and new build works with the introduction of new doors, windows and glass partitions, tiling as well and insulation to new ceilings include any necessary strengthening works to upgrade the structural fabric of the building to allow the building to utilized as an integrated innovation hub.
