Objectives and scope of the ServicesBackground informationUNFPA Maldives is convening a high-profile, strategic advocacy event designed to shift the national narrative on demographic change among policy makers, the private sector, academia, and civil society. Rather than a traditional meeting, this event serves as a core piece of UNFPA’s communications strategy. It aims to promote demographic literacy, address misconceptions surrounding fertility decline, population aging, and migration, and reaffirm that target-driven policies undermine human rights.The centerpiece of this event will be an immersive, multi-sensory interactive art exhibition titled "Maldives 2040: Shaping Demographic Resilience." This framework operates across three distinct thematic pillars of demographic resilience derived from national priority datasets. Development objective(s)To foster national demographic resilience in the Maldives by shifting the development paradigm from target-driven population narratives toward evidence-based, rights-centered policies; and to integrate shifting demographic realities—including fertility decline, population aging, and internal migration—into long-term national frameworks for economic transformation, labor markets, and social protection systems. Immediate objective(s)To mobilize high-level political will and cross-sectoral donor partnerships through a high-impact, immersive artistic and interactive data exhibition that equips policymakers, private sector leads, and civil society with the demographic literacy needed to co-design proactive investment frameworks for the Country Office. Outputs / Deliverable(s)The contractor will be responsible for the end-to-end conceptualization, spatial design, audio-visual production, catering, and on-site event management:Event Planning & Layout: Developing the master timeline, technical cue sheets, and VIP-compliant spatial layouts.Visual Branding & Marketing Assets: Designing cohesive digital and physical venue branding assets.Venue Production & Stage Management: Complete technical setup (AV, lighting, staging) and live stage management for Day 1.Premium Catering: Managing high-end hospitality for 70+ VIP attendees during the Day 1 networking segment.Post-Event Media Production: Editing and delivering high-quality photo and video advocacy assets.UNFPA is using Quantum, an ERP platform based Oracle Cloud, which supports the United Nations procurement processes.
