United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Syria, is inviting interested vendors to submit Expression of Interest for the anticipated solicitation exercise to establish a Contract for the Rehabilitation of Main Water Pipeline in Aleppo City, Syria. The project aims to supply the areas of Al-Maysar, Karm Al-Tarab, Karm Al-Qasr, Krum Berri, Al-Nairab Camp, and the airport with drinking water with greater pressure and abundance, by replacing the drinking water line from the first sterilization station to Al-Nairab Bridge with flexible font pipes of approximately 400mm diameter instead of regular pipes of diameter 250 mm, which is more than 60 years old and suffers from wear and tear and significant water loss. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Rehabilitation of Main Water Pipeline in Aleppo City, Syria to supply the areas of Al-Maysar, Karm Al-Tarab, Karm Al-Qasr, Krum Berri, Al-Nairab Camp, and the airport with drinking water. The Civil Works include: • Excavation works for pipes and manholes. • Rehabilitation of the supports behind elbows, faucets, and under faucets are made of ordinary concrete. • Rehabilitation of the Main valves room. • Repair Works for damaged sewers, sidewalks, and roads (if any) at pipeline extension sites. • Asphalting works. The Plumbing Works include: • Providing & Installing of approximately 400mm diameter flexible font pipes. • Extending Piping in the designated paths as specified, along with the special pieces. • Installing Main Valves at specified locations. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process.
