Country: Philippines  Description of the Assignment: GIS Specialist Period of assignment/services: 15 days spread over 3 monthsCompetencies and Qualifications:The Consultant should possess the following qualifications:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geography, environmental science, geomatics, urban planning, or related field;A minimum of five (5) years of experience in GIS analysis and mapping, preferably in projects related to natural resource management, or community development;Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial analysis techniques;Experience with participatory mapping methodologies and community-based research approaches;Understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems, cultural protocols, and issues related to land tenure and resource management in ancestral domains is an advantage;Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret spatial data and communicate findings effectively;Fluency in Filipino and excellent written and spoken English. Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal.
