he TNA project works with Regional Centres of Excellence in climate change mitigation and adaptation. The Centres provide technical support to participating countries through national, regional and global capacity building workshops, technical support missions and technical backstopping through electronic means. Hence, the objective of this Grant Agreement is to bring Regional Centres (RCs) into the project that can provide technical support and capacity building to countries that undertake a TNA process. The role of the Regional Centres involves providing capacity building on the methodologies and process of conducting a TNA, including stakeholder engagement, multi-criteria analysis for technology prioritisation, analyses of barriers and enabling frameworks, action plans, and preparation of project concepts to be funded and implemented by interested stakeholders. The Regional Centre will organise 3 (three) regional workshops, where National TNA Teams (3 representatives from each of the 5 participating countries, Senegal, Mali, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, and Morocco, will be trained in the TNA methodology and process. The training is supplemented by a comprehensive collection of guidance material downloadable from the project website, as well as e-learning modules addressing all aspects of the TNA project.
