As IOM continues to expand its operations, the complexity of the challenges it faces is also increasing. Strong problem‑solving skills are essential for ensuring effective decision‑making, improving operational efficiency, and addressing emerging issues in a timely manner. Equally, time‑management skills play a critical role in enabling staff to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and maintain productivity in fast‑paced environments. This training aims to strengthen the problem‑solving and time‑management capabilities of IOM personnel by equipping them with practical tools to analyze challenges, structure their work, and make informed decisions. By building these competencies, the training supports IOM’s broader objectives of enhancing organizational performance and ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery. The required services involve designing and delivering a comprehensive training curriculum tailored to the needs of key target groups, including Chiefs of Mission (CoMs), Resource Management Officers (RMOs), and all IOM staff member. The training must integrate relevant case studies and light practical activities to help participants apply the concepts to their daily operational contexts. A tailored version of the training must be developed specifically for RMOs and COMs recognizing their strategic responsibilities and leadership challenges. To ensure relevance, the service provider will conduct interviews with selected CoMs and RMOs to identify specific needs, challenges, and priorities. The outcomes of this training are expected to support staff in making decisions, managing competing demands, and approaching complex tasks with clarity and focus.
