The purpose is to establish ongoing rosters of qualified and experienced individual external collaborators for the copy-editing and proofreading of ILO publications in English. The roster will be used on a continual basis to support future publication work, ensuring high-quality, consistent editorial standards. Selected individuals may be contacted periodically by the ILO for assignments as needs arise, and roster participation will be regularly reviewed and monitored. Interested candidates shall submit documentation demonstrating that they meet the qualifications and experience requirements set out in Section VI. This shall include, at a minimum: • A short letter of motivation and curriculum vitae (résumé) in English. • Samples of four comparable copy-editing and/or proofreading assignments delivered since 2022 (links to PDFs). • Contact details of three currently active professional referees who can attest to the quality and timeliness of the candidate’s work on the samples provided. External collaborators on the ILO roster for copy-editing and proofreading are paid per day worked, based on outputs of 4,000 words for copy-editing and 12,000 words for proofreading. Fee rates depend on the collaborator’s place of residence, and the daily fee table is updated every six months. If you are interested, please express interest and follow the instructions. Suppliers will be informed whether they have been selected by 18:00 Central European Time 29 May 2026. Work will begin later in the year. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline. The ILO reserves the right to request additional information, conduct reference checks and, where necessary, require candidates to complete a practical test as part of the assessment process.
