ProcureProcess - UNDP Others Non Governmental 2026-02-15 to 2026-03-01
The Improving Local Development to Increase the Resilience of Host Communities and Refugees in North Jordan (LED) Programme is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP. It supports EU priorities on decentralisation, inclusive economic growth, social cohesion, and resilience in areas hosting Syrian refugees. The Programme addresses a key challenge faced by local authorities: limited funding and delivery mechanisms to translate development plans into income-generating investments. LED focuses on Irbid and Ajloun governorates, where unemployment and population pressures—exacerbated by the Syrian refugee crisis and post-COVID economic slowdown—remain significant. Through Capital Investment Projects (CIPs) and targeted support to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Programme stimulates local economic activity, encourages private-sector engagement, and creates sustainable employment opportunities for host communities and refugees. The objective of this consultancy is to produce bilingual (Arabic and English) Coffee Table Book for the Northern Region mainly Irbid and Ajloun. The publication will serve both as a comprehensive heritage guide to art, culture, and tourism, and as an official documentation of the region’s rich cultural, artistic, embroidery, and tourism assets.   The Coffee Table Book will cover key sectors in separate volumes, including embroidery, culinary heritage, agriculture and food processing, architectural and historical assets, traditional handicrafts, and traditional attire. The Consultant will consolidate outputs from UNDP/LED and other relevant projects; such as research studies, guidebooks, documentation materials, and photographic archives—through a structured process that includes research, content development, photography, design, community validation, official endorsement, and national registration. The final output will be high-quality, durable publication, accompanied by print- and digital-ready production files, enabling long-term use, reprinting, and adaptation for future outreach and promotional activities.   The Consultancy will consolidate outputs/products from UNDP/ LED and other relevant projects such as research studies, guidebooks, documentation materials, and photographic archives thal all were developed through a structured process including research, content development, photography, design, community validation, official endorsement, and national registration.
