Following the 2014 Ministerial Declaration of the CRVS Decade (2015–2024), governments committed to enhancing CRVS systems for better governance, rights protection, and development. Research is vital to assess completeness, quality, and innovations in CRVS systems. ESCAP’s CRVS Applied Research Training (CART) initiative builds practitioners’ research capacity through modular training, mentorship, and dissemination.
