The ILO invites competent and experienced organisations (including private firms, civil society organisations, training institutions) to submit applications to receive technical assistance and financial support for providing information, and trainings on financial literacy and digital security topics for women migrant workers and their families in Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand. Technical and financial assistance to successful proposals will be provided through the ILO’s Ensuring Decent Work and Reducing Vulnerabilities for Women and Children in the Context of Labour Migration in Southeast Asia (PROTECT) project, supported by the European Union. Organisations may propose activities in keeping with the following: Should benefit women migrant workers, in two countries of origin: Cambodia, and Indonesia; and one country of destination: Thailand. Interventions may include men migrant workers, families and the larger community as well, but special consideration should be given to women migrant workers. Interventions must take a gender-responsive approach to ensure that women migrant workers’ needs and concerns re remittances, financial planning, online security are addressed. Should utilise sustainable approaches/methodologies. Proposals should elaborate how the tools and trainings will continue to benefit migrant workers in the long-term, beyond the funding period Proposed activities may include: Capacity-building and information provision on digital security/online scam safety for potential/current/returnee migrant workers and relevant stakeholders (one location each in Cambodia and Indonesia; sites to be decided jointly with the PROTECT project team, with 50 migrant workers per location (65 per cent women) Capacity-building and information provision on financial literacy topics for migrant workers and relevant stakeholders (2 locations in Thailand; sites to be decided jointly with the PROTECT project team, with 50 migrant workers per location (65 per cent women)) Proposed activities may be implemented for a period of 12- 14 months. Proposals should specify target # participants and stakeholder type, for each activity (including # of women) Non-governmental organizations/private firms/training institutions with experience in developing and conducting financial literacy trainings and tools and collaborating with NGOs and frontline service providers in ASEAN to provide direct services to women migrant workers in the region are all eligible to submit a proposal.
