The Sudan - Enhancing Community Resilience (SOMOUD) project by the World Food Programme (WFP) aims to improve access to basic services and food security in select communities in Sudan. The project will be implemented in three states— Kassala, Northern, and River Nile— prioritising areas with a high number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) or those with significant agricultural activities. The project focusses on two main components: providing basic services and improving food security. It will cover four agricultural value chains: sorghum, wheat, vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, and okra, as well as horticultural crops like beans. The goal is to enhance local food production, access to services, and overall community supported at three nodes that include: Increasing Agricultural Production and Resilience (Production) Supporting Value Addition in Agricultural Value Chains (Processing) Scale-up and Strengthening of Consumer Cooperatives (Consumption) WFP invites eligible suppliers to express their interest in providing the requested services for sorghum, wheat, and vegetable value chains as per the requirement below: Land preparation Seed sowing Weeding Harvesting Irrigation
