UNSMIL intends to issue solicitation (bidding) documents to companies or individuals for their expression of interest to purchase boarded off vehicle Toyota-LAN25L-PRMDEN-HILUX in its current condition on an “as is” basis. The vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder who meets UNSMIL’s requirements as per the bidding documents that will be issued to the public. The UN-owned soft skin vehicle has been in use from 2007 to 2024 and has therefore exceeded its life expectancy. There is no guarantee that the vehicle is in working condition and hence the winning bidder/ company or individual will be responsible for any or all customs duties and taxes levied on the vehicle by the relevant government departments. UNSMIL will hand over the sold vehicle to the awarded entity/individual based on the Ministry’s approval and proof of the customs clearance provided by the awarded company/individual.
