The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) invites eligible, legally registered non-profit organizations, intergovernmental bodies, or governmental institutions to submit proposals for conducting the second-phase field-based assessment of wood value chains in Tanzania. The assignment will build on FAO’s 2025 desk-based study and generate actionable, evidence-based insights to guide interventions that strengthen the performance, inclusivity, sustainability, and investment attractiveness of Tanzania’s forest-based value chains. Expected services include field data collection in key production and processing regions, financial and competitiveness analysis of value chain actors, mapping of investment trends, assessment of innovation and producer organizations, and facilitation of stakeholder visioning. Deliverables include an inception report, interim and final analytical reports, stakeholder validation workshop, and a policy brief.
