UN-Habitat intends to construct and rehabilitate a community water supply scheme in Karachi to ensure reliable access to safe and potable water for targeted beneficiaries. The project involves civil and pipeline works required to establish a fully functional and sustainable system. The scope specifically covers the rehabilitation of a damaged section of approximately 6,000 ft within the existing water supply network in the designated project areas, in accordance with approved designs, drawings, technical specifications and applicable standards. This section will serve as a connecting line between two existing pipelines, supported by the existing pumping system, and will integrate with secondary and tertiary connections serving the community. Objective: The objective of this contract is to engage a qualified contractor to construct, install, test, commission, and hand over a main water supply transmission line from Ayub Goth Main Road to Chota Gabol Chowk in Karachi, in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, and UN-Habitat standards. Scope of Works: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services necessary for the successful completion of the project. The scope includes, but is not limited to, dismantling and safe disposal of the existing damaged pipeline, protection of surrounding utilities, laying HDPE pipeline with thrust blocks and valve chamber and restoration of all affected infrastructure.The key components of the work will include but not limited to: a) Pre-Construction b) Dismantling Works c) New Pipeline installation d) Utility Protection e) Testing and Commissioning f) Surface restoration    Specific Requirements/Information Interested vendors must posses the necessary technical expertise and capacity to provide the required services, as only suitably qualified vendors will be invited to participate and vendors must complete the attached Annex A. Vendors expressing interest must be registered with the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) at minimum of Basic Registration Level. Vendors not registered in UNGM will not be eligible to paricipate in the tender exercise at a later stage.
