Call for External Collaborator: Estimating the Needs of Workers and Their Families for the Philippines, including the calculation of living wages following the ILO baseline methodology (ILO CO-Manila)

ProcureProcess - ILO Others Non Governmental 2025-07-08 to 2025-07-16
Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The ILO will support the Government of the Philippines in using ILO baseline methodology based on principles determined in the 305th Governing Body, which seeks to provide comprehensive insights into the basic needs of workers and their families, considering factors such as food, housing, healthcare, and education costs. By applying ILO principles, the study intends to recommend evidence-based policies for minimum wage adjustments. This call aims to estimate the needs of the workers and their families, underpinned by the ILO baseline methodology. The consultant will provide advice to the Government of Philippines, specifically the NWPC on the ILO Living Wage baseline methodology and will produce the deliverables in the expected timeline, sharing the developments with social partners. The outcomes that result in a range of indicators produced would contribute to the ILO’s perspective based on evidence alongside economic factors - to advocate and promote setting adequate wages. If you are interested, please express interest and follow the instructions attached to consult the detailed terms of reference and other relevant information in the ILO e-sourcing platform. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline. Thank you.
